  • Radiant Yoga + Wellness 634 High St Suite B COLUMBUS United States (map)
True healing is not about fixing what is broken, but about embracing our wholeness and reclaiming our inherent worthiness.
— Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn

Are you searching for a nurturing environment where you can gently explore movement, cultivate self-care, and feel deeply supported on your journey toward healing and resilience? Look no further. This series is here to lead you through a 6-week yoga experience tailored specifically for individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community.

Throughout these sessions, participants will embark on a comprehensive exploration of self-care and strength using trauma-sensitive yoga practices. Guided by empathetic instructors, each class equips attendees with practical tools for managing emotions, thoughts, and body sensations. By blending movement with guided relaxation techniques, participants will develop the ability to deeply rest and connect with a sense of calm, assurance, and build trust in their body.

As with any eMBER class, this approach emphasizes your autonomy, empowering you to set your own pace and boundaries without pressure, while delving into essential resilience-building skills. By integrating evidence-based techniques such as mindfulness and yoga with the transformative power of community connection, participants will acquire practical tools to navigate life's challenges authentically.

Join us as we nurture resilience within ourselves and the LGBTQIA+ community, especially during these challenging times. Together, we can progress toward healing and empowerment within this Trauma-Sensitive framework.

Let's ignite the flame of resilience together, fostering authenticity, compassion, and community connection.

About eMBER

At its core, eMBER's mission is clear: to empower individuals to reconnect with and find comfort within their bodies. eMBER represents an embodied, mindfulness-centered resilience training tailored for those navigating the journey of rebuilding their lives after traumatic experiences. Drawing from a blend of trauma healing methodologies, including Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Experiencing, and Yoga Nidra, the curriculum is crafted to impart the fundamental components of resilience – the ability to rebound from adversity. This evidence-based framework for trauma-sensitive yoga, created by Michele Vinbury and Marybeth Hamilton, is meticulously structured to enhance nervous system flexibility and capacity, providing students with ample opportunities to embody the tools they acquire in class when confronting life's hurdles. In this series, the teachers have adapted the core curriculum specifically to cater to the queer community. Learn more about eMBER here: https://www.emberyoga.org/trauma-sensitive-yoga
